Ozzie

Patient Records

This little dude shows the true potential for long life in ball pythons.  He was 27 years old when Snake Haus took him in.  With a little bit of TLC he is doing very well and will likely live several years longer.

If you know people interested in getting a ball python, PLEASE remind them the animal may be with them for almost 30 years.

Ozzie was underfed for much of his life.  His owner believed that ball pythons didn’t need to eat much at all and had only been giving 1-2 mice per month.  This has caused Ozzie’s size to be severely stunted – at 27 years old he is smaller than a 3 year old.  He was extremely skinny when we took him in but has now been happily eating a medium rat every 2 weeks and is putting on some healthy muscle.  At the extreme age of 27, we’re not sure how long Ozzie will be with us, but we’re sure going to keep him fat and happy as long as we can.
